oalition for Indigenous Rights Campaign (CIRCA) organised its 2nd State Level Open Debating Competition at MDU hall today.
Associate Professor of MB College English Department and president of Manipur Debating Society, Chingsu Thoiba, attended the competition as the speaker .
Around 20 participants took part in the competition which was held under the theme 'Manipur Hakthengnariba Wathoksing Asi Merger Agreement 1949 Na Thokhanbani' .
Speaking to media persons, co-convenor of CIRCA Students' Front, Rajesh Yumnam, said that the debate has been organised in connection with National Repentance Day which will be observed from 7.30 pm tomorrow at Sana Konung .

The debate has been organised to spread awareness about how Manipur became a part of India and what are the impacts of the Merger Agreement .
He also pointed out that the top 10 position holders of the competition will be felicitated tomorrow at San Konung as a part of the observation .
Pheiroijam Rajesh Singh secured the 1st position, L Luchingbi secured the 2nd position, Thongam Zingo secured the 3rd position, Anamika Heirangkhongjam secured the 4th place, Elangbam Lanleiba Meitei secured the 5th place, Maisnam Babylingjel secured the 6th spot, L Yaiphabi Chanu secured the 7th position, Joyshree Meisnam secured the 8th position, L Suraj Singh and Maibam Safur Rahman secured the 9th spot and Serto Onesimus Kom secured the 10th position in the competition.
