The Manipur unit of BJP on Wednesday said it will urge the Prime Minister of India to dismiss the ruling Manipur Government and impose President's Rule in the state.
Addressing a press meet at BJP office here today, Shantikumar, President BJP Manipur Unit said the SPF government led by CM O.Ibobi has failed in all front that they can't even solve the ongoing economic blockade issue even as the price of essential commodities has sky rocketed in the state due to the stir.
On Oct 21, a representative of BJP Manipur Pradesh headed by its president Shanti Kumar including its two members accompanied by party's opposition leader Sushma Swaraj will meet the Prime Minister at 11am in New Delhi to highlight the grievances of the people of Manipur.
The BJP Manipur Pradesh will present five points demands to Prime minister to demand immediate dismissal of the Secular Progressive Front government and impose President's Rule in the state, to solve the economic blockade immediately, to find out a solution to the demand of Sadar Hills Districthood Demand Committee( SHDDC), to keep sufficient petroleum products in the market for public use and to give Rs 30,000 each to the worst affected families of the state due to the economic blockade as a compensation, Shanti Kumar told reporters.
A change will be seen by the public of Manipur after the coming general election as in many states of the country people have started losing faith in the UPA Government at the Centre, he added.
