BJP core committee dissects poll strategies

Imphal, September 19 2021:
Union minister for environment, forest & climate change, and BJP's Manipur election in-charge Bhupendra Yadav, who arrived here on Saturday on a two-day visit, chaired a meeting of the core committee of BJP Manipur Pradesh and discussed strategies for the 2022 state assembly election at the party's Nityaipat Chuthek office here on Saturday night.
Yadav also met state office bearers of the party, spokespersons, presidents of morchas, district units and mandals to take stock of the situation and poll preparedness followed by meeting BJP ministers.
Later, the core committee meeting which began from around 7 pm was attended by key leaders of the party including chief minister N Biren, union minister of state Dr RK Ranjan, Rajya Sabha MP Leishemba Sanajaoba, works minister Th Biswajit, party president A Sharda, former party presidents K Bhabananda and Th Chaoba.
BJP northeast in-charge Ajay Jamwal and Manipur in-charge Sambit Patra were also present at the meeting, which mainly focused on bringing about a BJP only government after the 2022 election.
The meeti ng agreed to bring an understanding among the intending candidates who are in the race for partyticket in different assembly constituencies to unanimously support the candidate who gets the party ticket while keeping aside their differences and discontentment.
Prior to leaving Imphal, Bhupendra Yadav along with union minister of state for social justice and women empowerment Shrusti Bhoumik, BJP state president A Sharda and other party leaders visited Shree Shree Govindajee Temple and offered prayer.
From there, they headed to the CM's secretariat where they had lunch together with the CM.
The party leaders including Sambit Patra and Ajay Jamwal left Imphal around 1 pm .
