Official website of World Youth Summit 2015 was launched today at Classic Hotel.
The launch programme of the website, www.worldyouthsummit.in was attended by Director of Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development, Prof D Sahoo; Prof N Rajmohan Singh, Dept of Chemistry, MU and Chairman of HESCO Anil P Joshi, president of AMWJU W Shamjai and adviser of Dept of Biotechnology, GoI Dr Md Aslam as the chief guest, president and guests of honour respectively.
The World Youth Summit 2015 will take place from March 15 to 19 at City Convention Centre in Imphal, India.
The summit will be attended by around 1500 youth leaders from around 200 countries.
The Summit has a unique aim of producing a joint outcome document between States and youth, the "Imphal Action Plan," according to the organisers.
The summit will focus on seven thematic areas like conservation of biodiversity for sustainability, disaster risk reductions and youth centered urbanization, eco-tourism development in NE India and its linkage to ASEAN countries, youth against hunger - poverty eradication, food and nutrition security, realising equal access to quality education and health, ensuring inclusive recreation, sports and culture, preservation of indigenous people and heritage, social justice, the organisers said.
