Virasat Series of SPICMACAY Imphal Chapter winds up

Imphal, September 14 2019:
Virasat Series 2019-20 of SPICMACAY Imphal Chapter concluded today.
Sitar maestro Partha Bose, the performing artist of the Virasat Series and Tabla accompanist Kaushik Konwar had musical interaction with the artistes of Progressive Artiste Lab(PAL) at PAL Complex, Samushang, Imphal West.
Rendering sitar recital at various institutes since Sep 9, Partha shared his 'exciting' experience in Manipur saying that it will be deeply rooted in his memory.

After delivering a rendition of Raag Patdeep, the sitar maestro had a beautiful jam session with the artistes of PAL in a Manipuri folk tune.
PAL artistes played Pena, Dhulop, etc.
Yesterday on the fifth day of the Series, Waikhom Mani Girls' College, Thoubal and 26 Assam Rifles Phundrei also witnessed the sitar recital of Bose.
Notably Partha Bose is one of the leading instrumentalists and well known sitar player of India who has performed in major festivals across 5 continents.
Tabla maestro from Dibrugarh, Kaushik Konwar is also a successful tabla player and a multi-percussionist with sensational talent and understanding of the great Indian music tradition.
