Staff of Behiang PHC reach out to fire victims

Setting a benchmark for inspiration, staff of Behiang Primary Health Centre (PHC) of Churachandpur district came forward to help victims of fire incident that occurred at Suangphuh village under Singngat Sub-division of Churachandpur on February 8.Besides handing over cash and material assistance to the victim family of the inferno, Behiang PHC staff also conducted a free health camp and distributed medicines free of cost to Suangphuh villagers.
The medical camp was conducted by Dr Th Mahesh, MO; Dr Ramesh, MO; Dr Samananda, MO and Pumsuanmung Shoute, Ophthalmic Assistant.
Dr Steve M Tungnung, MO in-charge, PHC Behiang spoke on the importance of timely immunization, institutional delivery, CMHT, RBSK, RKSK, De-worming, etc.
The cash and material assistance including an amount of Rs 5000, clothing, blankets, dinner set, buckets and steel pot were given to the fire victim which have been contributed by staff of PHC, Behiang.
It may be mentioned here that fire from unknown source had gutted one house at Suangphuh village on February 8 .
However, no casualty was reported so far.
