Kanggui, May 13 2014 :
All Disable Union Sadar Hills (ADUSH) rejected outright the allegation of Association of Person with Disability, Senapati (APDS) .
Speaking to media persons this evening at Kanggui, Kamlenlal Samte, Information and Publicity Secretary of ADUSH flatly denied the allegation against the union by APDS while terming the allegation as baseless.
ATDUM under Momo Tantanga never held its general election since 2006 despite repeated reminders.
He run the union in a questionable manner without taking into consideration the interest of the general public particularly the disabled people, Kamlenlal Samte said.
He said that ADUSH has nothing to do with ATDUM after all disabled bodies in the hill districts of the State had de-associated with it since 2012.Kamlenlal Samte further clarified that All Tribal Disable Union Sadar Hills (ATDUSH), established in 2005, has been rechristened as All Disable Union Sadar Hills considering the multi-ethnic communities covered by the union in Sadar Hills.
ADUSH is not for one particular community but for all.
Mangkholun Khongsai was asked to look after the union as an interim body president of the Union before general election is conducted, he clarified while adding that the general election of the union will be conducted in due course.
ADUSH also appealed to the general public not to be misled by such vested self styled organisation while witnessing the tremendous activities and contribution of ADUSH towards humanity in every field.
