Chief Minister O Ibobi inaugurates

Newly constructed 33/11 KV Power Sub-Station at Kakching Mahadev Chingkhong and Turel Wangma community hall were today inaugurated by Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh, reports our correspondent.
The inauguration programme of 33/11 Kv Power Sub-Station was also attended by Kakching AC MLA Yengkhom Surchandra and Kakching Municipal Council Chairperson M Inakhunbi while inauguration programme of Wangma community hall was attended MLA Y Surchandra, Kakching Municipal Council Chairperson M Inakhunbi, Vice Chairperson M Uma and Kakching Ward No 5 Councillor Th Kananbala.
Chief Minister O Ibobi said that he had been discussing with his Council of Ministers from the last 2,3 years to create new districts for administrative convenience.
The Chief Minister added that he was waiting for the right moment to declare the new districts as he feared some sections of people might hinder various developmental projects undertaking in the State or resort to other intense agitations.
Creation of new districts was announced recently since most of the projects initiated by the State Government have completed and while some are nearing completion.
The new districts were created solely for administrative convenience, he added.
Commenting on UNC's economic blockade, Chief Minister O Ibobi said, "When the State Government discussed the issue with the Central Government, the Centre brought up the creation of Sadar Hills district as the main topic and said that the economic blockade has to do with the demand of Sadar Hills district.
This implies that the Centre, NSCN-IM and UNC are one.
National Highway is also a National property but why the Centre is ignoring such grievous issue" .
