'International Day of the Girl Child' observed

As part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Pan India awareness and outreach programme, District Legal Services Authority Senapati on Monday observed International Day of Girl Child at Manipur North Development Association (MANEDA), Senapati.
During the programme, S Marysena, Retainer lawyer DLSA Senapati delivered a lecture on 'Digital Generation, Our Generation' while Samom Ibjen, chairman DLSA Senapati spoke on 'Legal rights of a girl child', said a release issued by DLSA Senapati.
Later, face masks and stationery items including notebooks, pens, etc were also provided to the inmates.
Similarly, on the occasion of International Day of the Girl Child, 44 Assam Rifles under the aegis of 22 Sector/ IGAR (EAST) also organised a one day medical camp at Abin village, Tousem Sub Division.
In line with the celebration of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav, the Unit is organising three days free medical camp in various parts of the sub division as Ayush Ka Amrut, said a statement of PIB Defence Wing.
The battalion brought medical practitioners along with medicines to the doorsteps of the locals.
The medical team not only carried out medical check-ups but also distributed free medicines on the spot.
175 villagers benefited from the medical camp.
