Mother of Chairman, ADC Sadar Hills passes away

Mother of ADC Sadar Hills Chairman, Haokholal Hangshing, one of the oldest woman in the District Headquarters passed away last night at around 5.40 pm at Salem Inn, New Lambulane, Imphal.
She was 98 .
Her mortal remain was brought at her home town Kangpokpi DHQs yesterday itself while her burial ceremonial was conducted today amidst thousands mourners.
Eldest daughter of Semseh Manlun, (L) Dimting Hangshing was born in 1922 at Laikot village and married to (L) Khatkhopao Hangshing in 1937 at Kangpokpi Mission Compound solemnised by Pastor Miksha Tangkhul.
The couple were engaged in a missionary work at Saikul Baptist Church by Kangpokpi Mission in 1938 where they were engaged as teacher in a school.
Later, Kangpokpi Mission sent them the next year at Alipur Mission Hospital in Cachar, Assam and returned back in the year 1950 at Kangpokpi Mission where her husband work as Compounder at Mission Hospital, Kangpokpi since then.
Since 1962, the deceased aged mother had dedicated her life at Christa Houbung till she breath her last yesterday evening.
Among three daughters and five son of (L) Dimting Hangshing, Haokholal Hangshing, Chairman ADC Sadar Hills is the eldest among her sons.
She had fourteen grandchildren and thirty three great grandchildren with fourteen grand and great children taking her name.
"Living up to the age of almost hundred years is indeed a blessing of God and I am happy my mother could live her life at the maximum", said visibly emotional Haokholal Hangshing during the burial ceremony held today at his Ward No 1, Kangpokpi residence.
Many denizens of Kangpokpi mourned the death of one of its oldest citizen of the town apart from many civil society organizations pouring in condolence messages over the demise of the aged mother.
Kuki Inpi Kangpokpi District, Thadou Inpi Kangpokpi District, KSO Sadar Hills, KTC, KWWO and KYU also issued separate condolence messages which floats social media since last night.
Thousands of mourners across the state and Kangpokpi bid adieu to the departed aged mother while paying their tribute before she was finally laid to rest in a grand burial ceremony at her residential campus at Phaicham Veng, Ward No 1, Kangpokpi DHQs.
