Imphal, January 10 2018:
With the intervention of the Kangleipak Students Association, some of the schools which earlier charged a higher amount of form fill-up fee for the Class XII examination have refunded the amount, said a statement issued by the student body.
The KSA also welcomed one of the notices made by the school authority of the Thambal Marik College, Oinam.
It said the earlier misunderstanding between the school authority and KSA had also been resolved with the decision to refund the excess fee.
Still it warned that the student organisation would reimpose the restriction on the school if the school authority does not keep its word.
The KSA further maintained that some schools are yet to comply and appealed that the latter should do it at the earliest.
The KSA further drew the attention of the COHSEM to look into the matter.
In its statement, the student organisation mentioned that its representatives had also sent written complaints to the Minister of Education, the Education Director and other high officials of
the COHSEM.
The KSA further warned that it would take up action if any school is found charging extra examination fees.
