Students from 88 schools participate in AMGSU quiz competition

More than two thousands students from 88 educational institutions from across the State participated in the 2nd State Level Quiz Competition organized by All Manipur Gorkha Students' Union in connection with its 52nd Foundation Day, 2019.The quiz competition organized under the guidance of AMGSU President, LB Adhikari was participated by 2635 students from 88 schools from different parts of State including Irang, Senapati, Toribari, Kangpokpi, Kalapahar, SPGT, Saparmeina, Motbung, Charhajare, Kanglatongbi, Leimakhong, Imphal, Serou, Ukhrul and Saikul.
It was conducted in two categories, viz Class VI-VIII (A category) and Class IX-X (B category) based on aspects of fundamental rights, fundamental duties, modern India and current affairs.
LB Adhikari President AMGSU said the main purpose of the competition is to give self-confidence among the young students for competitive exams in future and to explore the hidden knowledge of the students basically from the remote places of the State by flooding them with the up-to-date knowledge.
AMGSU also extended gratitude to the Principals, Founders and Headmasters of the various schools for providing the centre for conducting the competition and extended sincere gratitude to ATSUM, ANSAM, TSA, KSO, AMSU, TKS Ukhrul and parents, participants' school for their moral support, encouragement and cooperation for the success of the competition.
It also thanked various civil society organizations in the State for not calling bandhs, general strikes etc.
It further said the result of the quiz competition will be declared on 17th in local newspapers.
