Gadkari to visit

Imphal, December 08 2016:
Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) Nitin Gadkari will arrive here on December 10 to lay foundation stones for new RCC Barak and Makru bridges.
The Union Minister is also expected to announce a few highway projects during his official visit to the State.
Nitin Gadkari will land at Imphal airport at 5 pm of December 10 and halt the night at Sendra Tourist Home.
He will come to Imphal by road on December 11 and go to Jiribam by helicopter.
He would lay foundation stones for new Barak and Makru bridges at Jiribam Higher Secondary School at 10 am.
Chief Minister O Ibobi, MP T Meinya, MP Thangso Baite, MP Abdul Salam, MP Mary Kom, Council of Ministers, Parliamentary Secretaries and MLAs would attend the foundation stone laying ceremony.
The foundation laying ceremony would be followed by another programme at 1st MR Ground where Nitin Gadkari is expected to announce some new highway projects.
The highway projects which are likely to be announced by the Union Minister include Ukhrul-Tolloi-Tadubi road (NH 102-A), Churachandpur-Singhat-Sinzawl-Tuivai road (NH 102-B), Tamenglong-Khongshang road, Churachandpur-Yaingangpokpi road, Mao Greater-Imphal highway and Khumbong-Nambol-Mayang Imphal-Kakching road.
