Stolen vehicles handed over to owners

Three vehicles stolen three months back from Assam and subsequently seized by Senapati police were handed over to the respective owners today at Senapati Police Station.
According to an official source, a team of Senapati police led by Inspector Riamei Jonah, OC along with ASI Md Ajahar conducted a surprise checking at Khongnem village along National Highway-2 and apprehended three vehicle lifters on June 21 .
They were identified as Soram Pritam Singh (24) s/o S Rajkumar Singh of Cachar Ramnagar village under Dholai PS of Assam, Mutum Rajesana Singh (30) s/o M Khambaton of Kontha Ahallup Mayai Leikai under Heingang PS and Ningthem Manoj Singh (18) s/o Puno Singh of Lanka, under Lanka PS, Golaghat district, Assam.
Bajaj Discover 125 CC bearing Regd No AS09D-1655, Bajaj Discover 100CC bearing Regd No AS02F-5379 and Hero Glamour bearing Regd No AS06P-5210 were seized from them.
The three individuals had lifted the vehicles from Lanka, Assam and were heading towards Imphal along NH-2, said the source.
An FIR has been registered under No 20(06)2015 SPT-PS U/S 379/413/34 IPC and they have been sent to Sajiwa Jail.
Police source further said that the vehicles owners were later identified as Nirupama Terunpi w/o M Cro of Diphu under Karbi Anglong district, Assam, Girin Tomuli (60) s/o (L) Vishnuram Tomulu of Lanka LP Road Ward No 10 under Nagaon district, Assam and Jaidev Dehingia (27), s/o Bholendranath Dehingia of Bamkalakhowa village under Dibrugarh district, Assam.
All the vehicles were handed over to the respective owners today.
