Imphal, December 06 2021:
The proscribed Revolutionary People's Front (RPF) has condoled the Naga civilians who were slain by a com-bined team of 21st Para Commando and Assam Rifles at Oting, Mon district, Nagaland on December 4 .
A statement issued by the outfit's Deputy Secretary, Publicity Roben Khuman also conveyed solidarity to all the bereaved families.
It said that the Indian military forces targeting innocent civilians in their efforts to suppress the liberation movements of WeSEA region is not something new.
Words of regret or condolence expressed by political leaders of New Delhi after Indian military forces killed innocent civilians in the region under the impunity guaranteed by Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act are akin to the proverbial 'crocodile's tears', it alleged.
As the military forces enjoy impunity under AFSPA, it is impossible to punish guilty military personnel, it said.
The outfit went on to allege that the peoples of the region would continue to suffer all kinds of atrocities as long as WeSEA remains under alien rule.
It then called upon all the peoples of WeSEA to fight collectively and liberate the region.
The outfit further prayed that all those people who lost their lives at the hands of Indian military forces may rest in peace in the heavenly abode.
