The South East Manipur College, Komlathabi was established on January 2, 1981 and was affiliated to Manipur University in 1983 .
The College was granted permanent affiliation in 1992.The UGC granted recognition in 1994 .
But while extending Grant-in-aid in 1987 by the then Govt of Manipur, SEMCO was left out and has remained neglected for more than three decades, he added.
