Counter economic blockade; goods pulled down, set on fire

Jiribam, December 04 2016:
Protesting the UNC's economic blockade, Jiribam locals have started launching counter economic blockade today, our correspondent reports.
Counter economic blockade supporters off loaded goods and other items from passenger vehicles and others at Pangal Tabi, Babupara and Chandrapur, today.
The supporters also apprehended some foreign liquors from passengers during the process.

The goods were later set on fire in front of large number of people.
The supporters said that the counter economic blockade will continue till the UNC's economic blockade is lifted.
On the other hand, 445 loaded trucks comprising of 84 oil tankers, 40 truck load of LPG cylinders and 311 trucks loaded with other essential commodities, are currently stranded at Jiribam awaiting security escorts.
