Imphal, September 01 2016:
Taking a jibe at MPCC general secretary RK Imo who accused the BJP of politicising the police constable recruitment issue by calling bandh, BJP Manipur Pradesh today termed the remarks of the Congress MLA as uncalled for.
Addressing media persons today at BJP Manipur office located at Nityapat Chuthek, S Tiken, spokesperson of State BJP said that the remarks of MLA RK Imo clearly reflects that there is huge communication gap within the Congress led State Govt. The Dy CM had already admitted serious flaws in the police constable recruitment process.
Saying that people of the State want clarification from the Govt to clear all doubts once and for all, Tiken also demanded the resignation of Dy CM Gaikhangam from his post on moral ground.
The State BJP will continue to impose a ban on the fresh recruitment process and will not accept the cancellation of the DPC, Tiken said.
The BJP spokesperson also asked on what ground MLA RK Imo sought to interfere in this affair while adding that spitting venomous and provocative words against the BJP will bring no solution.
Vice-president of BJP Manipur M Ashnikumar said that people of the State have been enduring all hardships since the Congress came into power in the State.
As such, the time is now ripe to wipe away Congress Govt from the State.
Ashnikumar said that his party actively participated in the ILPS movement.
The double standard of the Congress Govt in this issue is well reflected when it notified that the new draft ILPS Bill will not be introduced in the Assembly slated to begin from Sept 2 despite its umpteen assurances.
It is very unfortunate for the people of the State to have leaders who never hesitate to make wild and irresponsible remarks.
An independent agency should be entrusted to probe the 2013 police constable recruitment process, he demanded.
BJP Manipur Pradesh general secretary Nimbus also attended the press meet.
