AR celebrates Parakram Parv

To mark the second anniversary of Surgical strike and to salute the unmatched valour of the brave and valiant soldiers of Indian Army, the various Battalions of 26 Sector Assam Rifles celebrated the 'Parakram Parv' at Pallel, Tengnoupal, Sita, Kwatha and Moreh.
An overwhelming strength of 345 youths, students, teachers and locals celebrated the day with Assam Rifles, said a statement of IGAR (South) today.
The Chandel Bn celebrated the occasion at Pallel with 125 students and seven teachers of Assam Rifles Public School, Pallel, wherein motivating videos showcasing the valour of Indian Army was shown to the students.
The students expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the brave soldiers of the Indian Army on the message boards.
Tengnoupal Bn celebrated the occasion with the youth and locals of Tengnoupal, Sita and Kwatha village.
An approximate strength of 110 youth from age groups attended the 'Parakram Parv'.
Various patriotic and motivating events were conducted such as display of surgical strike videos, 'Know Your Army Mela' wherein weapons were displayed and youth were briefed about the handling, operations and firepower of the weapons.
Moreh Bn celebrated the 'Prakram Parv' by organising a 'Youth Motivational Fest' at Moreh College wherein a total of 85 students and teachers attended the event.
Shangshak Battalions of 10 Sector Assam Rifles organised a number of activities to commemorate, the surgical strikes.
The events commenced with paying homage to the martyrs.
A friendly basketball match with the local team was also organized as part of the celebration followed by a motivational lecture for students.
The events culminated with a movie based on the surgical strikes, said the statement of IGAR (South) .
