Civil bodies to launch stern actions if Landhoni is not released

Various social organisations in the state will be launching a series of stern actions against the India government if Landhoni is not released at the earliest.
The decision was announced by a joint body of various organisations during a press meet held at BOAT, Imphal today.
Addressing the media, president, All Manipur Tammee Chingmee Apunba Nupi Lup, S Momon said that the arrest of Khwairakpam Ongbi Landhoni by the NIA is against the law of the country.
She was arrested by thw NIA when she went to meet her husband who is in jail in Guwahati.
Momon questioned whether the NIA will be arresting every family member of the many UG cadres in the state.
Secretary, All Manipur Women Social Reformation Development Samaj, Th Ramani said that Landhoni has been separated from her little kids in her home in Imphal.
If she is not released at the earliest, they will launch various types of stirs very soon, she said.
President, Universal Mothers' Organisation, Sorojini said that the arrest of Landhoni by the NIA shows the dirty nature of the Government of India towards the people of Manipur.
If the NIA is free to do whatever it likes, then there is no need to keep courts in the country, she said.
By detaining Landhoni, the NIA and the Government of India are inviting the people of Manipur to revolt against them, she added.
President, Apunba Manipur Kanba Ima Lup, Ph Sakhi appealed to the people of the state to support them and participate in the movement demanding the release of Landhoni.
