Imphal, October 18 2017: Tibetan Spiritual leader Dalai Lama, who arrived here in Imphal yesterday on a three day visit today, highlighted the importance of peace for enhancing a better world.

"India is having potential of contributing a lot in building a peaceful world," the Tibetan spiritual leader, who is in exile for the pass many years said to a houseful audience gathered at City Convention Centre, Palace Compound, Imphal, during a Civic Reception programme organised by the Manipur state government .

Dalai Lama was however referring to the rich ancient Indian learning methodology and philosophy, when he said India can play vital role in building a peaceful World.

The present chaos, crisis, and uncertainty happening in many part of the country is due to the improper education policy, but India being a rich traditions with ancient knowledge have the potential in shaping the world into a peaceful atmosphere, the spiritual leader clarified when enquired about how the country having its own problem can be a factor of building peace in the world during interaction session.

Earlier, in his welcome speech, Speaker of the Manipur Legislative Assembly, Yumnam Khemchand expressed gratitude to the Spiritual leader on behalf of the Manipur government over his acceptance to visit the state.

"The main purpose of the visit of his holiness, Dalai Lama is to promote peace in the region", Khemchand said.

In around forty minutes long speech, Dalai Lama stressed on the needs to strengthen human values and the need to promote positive emotion among humanities.

Dalai Lama, the Tibetan spiritual leader, who has been in exile since the occupation of Tibet by China, has been standing firm with his commitment to restore independence of his country without using any form of violence.

"I believe in non violence.....

if you carried positive action (Karma) you can defeat negative action (karma)", the confident spiritual leader, who is now 82 years old said to the large gathering at City Convention Center auditorium.

On the issue of the rise of violence among various community across the Globe in the recent days, Dalai Lama said that violence in any form is against any religion, any faith which they followed.

Violence killed, shattered peace and spoil the harmony of human kind said Dalai Lama.

Expressing his concerns about the Global politics, Dalai Lama recalled the kind of disaster that was brought by the United State of America over its policy towards Iraq during Bush administration.

On the recent violence in Rakhine state of Myanmar, Dalai Lama said that there cannot be a Muslim terrorist or Buddhist terrorist.

Terrorist cannot be follower of any faith or religion, he added.

The spiritual leader also talks about the lots of problems that are suffering the humanity.

He talks about the self centric politics of certain people and the natural disaster suffering the people that are caused by the negative emotion of human being.

"Everybody likes happy life, at the same time they could not find it", Dalai Lama said and added that this are because of the too much short cited emotions.
