IRCS continue to conduct COVID awareness programs

As part and continuation of organising COVID awareness programme across the State, the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) Imphal East District Branch, conducted awareness programme in two different places today.
The programme was held maintaining all prescribed SOPs to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
For today, the first awareness programme was held at the Chanung Community Hall of Khundrakpam AC, in association with Chanung Singha Club and PTFC-19.The programme was attended by Narendra Ningombam, chairman IRCS Imphal East District Branch and Dr Sunil Senjam, treasurer IRCS Manipur as resource persons.
The second programme was organised by the Youth Golden Club at the Nakhong Community Hall of the same AC and was attended by Narendra Ningombam, Dr James Elangbam, Dr Sunil Senjam and M Angamba as resource persons.
During the programme, the resource persons educated the locals on COVID-19 and how to prevent oneself from infection, including strictly observing the SOPs and guidelines laid down by the State Government and WHO, such as maintaining social distance in public places, wearing masks while stepping out, frequently sanitizing and washing hands, etc.
Dr Sunil also elucidated on COVID testing and COVID status while Dr James Elangbam spoke on clinical treatment of coronavirus and also urged people to be more supportive towards frontline workers.
At the end of the programme, Premjit Naoroibam and T Jineah demonstrated the right way to wear a face mask and wash hands.
