Imphal, June 11 2012:
Although the election to the Autonomous District Council has been conducted and its members elected, the state government has not been able to provide work charge to the elected ADC members till date.
In a tete-a-tete with Hueiyen Lanpao, Anizole M, ADC member of Jessami, said that following the inability of the state government to entrust specific work charge to the ADC members, there have been no development programmes in Jessami.
The only programmes that are being taken up under the ADC members are Housing Schemes and others related to Self Help Groups.
These programmes are being taken up under the Tribal Welfare and DRDA.
Anizole further informed that all the villages under ADC could not be covered under the said programmes.
So the programmes are being taken up on rotation basis.
