KISG and KSO demand clarification from PHED EE Kangpokpi

The Kuki Inpi, Saikul Gamkai (KISG) and Kuki Students' Organisation (KSO), Saikul block on Saturday, during a press meet, has demanded clarification from Ningombam Gambhir Singh, Executive Engineer, PHED Kangpokpi over a notice issued by him, at the earliest.
According to KISG president Thangkam Lupheng, the executive engineer of PHED, Kangpokpi, Gambhir Singh, issued an order, published in local newspapers, stating that 82 villages under Saikul subdivision are "unfounded villages" under the PHED.
The 82 villages mentioned by the PHED, Kangpokpi EE as "Unfounded Villages" have been enjoying every Government beneficiary schemes including the latest MGNREGS stated Thangkam Lupheng.
The student's organisation has therefore demanded immediate clarifications from N Gambhir Singh as to why he defined Saikul
Block as "Unfounded Villages" .
Within one week he should conduct a spot inspection for the 82 villages personally," KISG added.
KSO Saikul block president, Lun Mate who was also present at the press briefing here in Imphal termed the statement made by the EE an 'irresponsible' one which could spark problems between the villagers and the officials of the department.
PHED Kangpokpi Executive Engineer and the staff would be held responsible for any problems thus arising out of this notification, added Lun Mate.
