A Manipur Creative School (MCS) establishment was inaugurated at Dewlahland today by Education Support Society and MS Education Academy Hyderabad with the aim of developing the creativity of children.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, titular king Leishemba Sanajaoba said, "Children are the greatest treasure of their parents.
It is our responsibility to nurture our children to become individuals who will bring fame and fortune to the society.
"It is imperative to develop creativity in children to help them to compete in today's technologically developed and advanced society', he added.
He pointed out that unrealistic pressure by parents including limited recreation time, non stop tutions etc are some of the main reasons that students develop a lethargic attitude towards study.
Principal of Orphan Care Centre Lilong, Alhaj Mufti Salatur Rahman said, "There are numerous schools in the State but the number of students who will grow up to contribute and sacrifice for the society in the future is very low.
"Only when the relation between parents and their children improve and the parents recognise the creativity of their sons /daughters, will there be a change in society", he added.
Speaking at the event, Manipur Creative School (MCS) director, Akbar Khan pointed out that the first MCS was established at Kwakta, Bishnupur last year adding that the Dewlahland establishment is the second venture of Education Support Society and MS Education Academy Hyderabad.
