Rotary Clubs promote well-being, fitness

Imphal, December 30 2022:
Rotary Club of Imphal and Rotary Club of Polo City Imphal (RID-3240) played a friendly football match at Play 7 Turf, Mayaikoibi yesterday.
The friendly match was held under the theme 'Rotary Fit' to promote wellbeing and fitness, said a press release by Rotary Club of Imphal.
The friendly match was won by RC Polo City Imphal.
It may be noted that members of both the Rotary clubs have been promoting sports as well as sportsmanship for the youths of the State besides rendering humanitarian services to uplift the community.
As a part of the programme, P Renedy Singh and Kumari Ng Bala Devi, who have played for Indian national football team, were felicitated for their immense contribution to football for the country.
They are both youth icons of Manipur as well as the country.

T Baleshwar Singh, owner of the Play 7 Turf, was also felicitated for his contribution to promote sports and healthy lifestyle amongst the youth of the state.

Pramod Jaiswal, President, Rotary Club of Imphal said that sports have an immense impact on a person's daily life and health.
Engaging in physical activities like sports improves heart function, reduces risk of diabetes, controls blood sugar and lowers tension and stress levels, he added.
The programme was organised as a part of the golden jubilee celebration of the club and to promote 'Fit India Movement' .
