The DESAM has lauded the State Cabinet's decision to convert six Government-aided colleges into full fledged Government colleges.
Speaking to media persons at their Sagolband Moirang Leirak office this afternoon, DESAM vice-president Nameirakpam Edison remarked that the Cabinet decision is quite commendable and it has fulfilled one common desire of the teachers and staff of the six colleges.
Saying that DESAM and students' unions of the six colleges welcome the Cabinet decision, Edison exuded confidence that the State Government would soon look into the infrastructure requirements and shortage of teaching and non-teaching staff at the six colleges.
