Six mini garbage trucks handed over to the locals of Moirang

Imphal, December 28 2020:
Six mini garbage trucks equipped with GPS tracking machine and public announcement system was handed over to the locals of Moirang today by P Saratchandra, MLA of Moirang A/C in an event held at INA parking in Moirang Kumam Leikai.
The event was organised by Moirang Municipal Council and funded by 3 State Finance Govt.e marketplace (GeM).
The trucks were handed as a part of the development programme under Swachh Bharat Mission Urban to keep the areas clean within the jurisdiction of Moirang Municipal Council.
The event was attended by M Romibala, chairperson of Moirang Municipal Council, vice chairperson Basanta, OC of Moirang PS RK Anilkumar, OC of Phougakchao PS Rajen Kha Nganba, ward members and staff of the council along with the locals.
As a part of the event, MLA P Saratchandra installed twin garbage, 21 litter bins in the areas of the council mainly the crowded places such as markets.
He also distributed face masks to the vendors of Moirang Keithel.
Addressing the gathering P Saratchandra said that one should resort to long term future development programs for a progressive society and should work earnestly to achieve it.
