Two trucks torched

Two trucks of the Coastal Company engaging in the railway line construction were torched between Nungba and Rengpang village of Tamenglong district on November 25, according to Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) .
Condemning the act of burning the two trucks, ZUF said some miscreants had committed the 'barbaric' act in the area.
The Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) said it is aggrieved to condemn the mischievous action of unknown miscreants who carried out the barbaric act where two trucks belong to COASTAL COMPANY engaged in construction of Jiri-Tupul railway were torched on November 25 between Nungba and Reangpang village.
"As per the information received, the incident took place at 5:30 pm on the day just 3 km away from Nungba police station where five miscreants who came from Khongsang village on two motorbikes torched the two trucks and left immediately towards Khongsang village as if to throw the blame on us," stated ZUF information secretary A Dangmei today.
"It is similar to the incident that had occurred on April 17, 2013 where one innocent truck driver was shot death and injuring others and burning of the goods laden vehicle between Pongringlong (Charoi Pandongba) and Senam village Senapati district," A Dangmei said.
According to the ZUF leader, it was another evil design of intruders who very often acted a number of crimes to cause Zeliangrong areas to face ugly consequences.
The ZUF then fervently appeals not to give any hurdle in developmental projects or works in whatever form.
"We will not let this incident goes unearth.
We will find out the individuals or organisations behind the burning down of the trucks," A Dangmei pledged.
