The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Manipur held a sit-in protest at Yumnam Leikai Lairembi ground today protesting against the July 23 incident at Khwairamband market.
Apart from president of BJP Manipur Unit, Dr H Borbabu, former Chief Minister W Nipamacha, former Assembly Speaker, Dr S Dhananjoy, Ex-MLAs, M Bhorot, S Natum, H Bhubon and M Ibohal took part in the sit-in-protest.
H Borbabu told media persons that one month has already passed since the state government announced that judicial inquiry will investigate the killings of Rabina and Sanjit, but the inquiry has not been instituted yet.
The BJP takes strong exception to this, he said.
He also said, Chief Minister O Ibobi should resign on moral ground.
The opposition MLAs of the state will highlight the chaotic situation of Manipur under the Secular Progressive Front (SPF) government led by Chief Minister O Ibobi, which has failed totally in every respect, to the central leaders of the BJP and other opposition parties.
They will insist the Centre to impose President's Rule in Manipur.
