TMNL raises concern over insufficient teachers, irregular staff

Ukhrul, January 25 2019:
The Tangkhul Mayar Ngala Long (TMNL) has raised concern over the insufficiency of teachers at schools under Zonal Educational Office Ukhrul, conveyed a statement issued by TMNL.
It stated that TMNL after examining the entire district to take stock of the different sectors including education, social economic and infrastructure, have found out that the schools are lacking nearly 57 teachers at present adding that these teachers are being utilized at other outside the district.
Stating that the lack of teachers has crippled the district, it appealed the authority concerned to correct the drawbacks and take up positive actions at the earliest.
TMNL also pointed out that the locals have resented the irregular attendance of staff at Ukhrul's lone mini secretariat.
It asserted that farmers residing in remote village have to stay for days just to collect simple documents, which require official signatures.
TMNL will be glad to extend if the district' administration committee in strict maintenance of bio-metric attendance, it conveyed.
It further appealed the State Government to adhere to the motto of 'Go to Hills' and warned that failure to heed their plea will be inviting public's agitation.
It also cautioned that TMNL will not be responsible for any consequences while taking serious actions on the erring staff.
