Myanmar woman shot dead by man after attempts to bring back daughter from her custody failed: Sources

In the wake of the reported killing of a woman at Tuivial Zang village, Myanmar on November 17, there is uneasiness in the border area between Manipur's Churachandpur and Myanmar, said sources.
The 27-year-old Myanmar woman identified as Dim Lun Mang, a teacher posted at Tuivial Zang village in Chin State, was allegedly shot dead by one identified as M Isaba Binod of Behiang village, Churachandpur district.
He is son of one Sunil who had moved to Churachandpur from Imphal, alleged sources.
Sunil has a Zou wife and the family has been living near the border area.
The accused Binod has three wives.
His last wife is from Tuivial Zang village, Myanmar, said sources and added that his last wife had, due to poverty, placed their daughter under the custody of the victim (Dim Lun Mang) .
After repeated attempts to bring back his daughter failed, Binod shot Dim Lun Mang dead, alleged the sources.
Villagers tried to evacuate the teacher (Dim Lun Mang) to hospital, but she succumbed on the way.
Since the incident, Binod is in hiding, added the sources.
