Ukhrul, November 23 2015:
State Bank of India, Kamjong branch organized a one-day Financial Literacy and Credit Counselling Camp under the sponsorship of NABARD on November 18 at KDC Hall, Kamjong, Ukhrul.
People from different walks of life participated in the camp and were taught the basics of banking transactions.
Branch Manager, Sarei Muinao urged the participants to keep their bank account active and highlighted the use of ATM Card and GRC cash deposit in SBI.
He also stressed upon the different Govt Sponsored schemes being implemented through SBI in the country like Insurance Scheme, Pension Scheme, and girl child related schemes.
The camp concluded with a word of appreciation to the SBI Kamjong Branch by Mataimi Chithung, chairperson Bungpa Khullen village on behalf of the delegates from various neighbouring villages for undertaking such a noble step to make the people of Kamjong block financially literate.
