NSCN refutes connection

Imphal, August 22 2011:
Reacting to a news item regarding the arrest of three NSCN cadres by police commandos, Lt Col S Shipo of PRO/IPR, GHQ, Naga Army has clarified that none of the names mentioned in the news item are the active members of NSCN.
Chihansing had been terminated last year due to duty negligence, he said adding that the other two were never registered in the record of Naga Army.
Arrest and torture of innocent civilians is a serious case of human rights violation being perpetrated by the Government of Manipur upon the Nagas, he added.
S Sipho said, "We shall not remain silent spectators to this very act of State sponsored terrorism.
