Stranded Myanmarese in India leave for home

Ten Myanmar Nationals who were stranded in India due to the outbreak of coronavirus, resulting in a global shutdown, have returned back to Myanmar.
As per reports, the ten Myanmarese arrived in the Manipur border town of Moreh on July 18 from Meghalaya.
However, the Myanmar Government office was closed on July 19 and 20 and as such, they were put up in the quarantine centre set up in the Forest guest house for two days.
The 10 stranded Myanmarese finally entered their homeland today after they were screened by the medical team at Moreh Integrated Check Post and all their documents were verified.
The sending off programme was attended by Sr Immigration Officer Krishna Anand, SDC Brajendra, ICP Manager Robin Gangte, ASP (LO) Sangboi Gangte along with 43 Assam Rifles personnel.
