Addressing a press conference today at the office of Birla Emporiums Private Limited in Khurai Sajor Leikai, Irabanta alleged that the Branch Managers of Axis Bank, Chingmeirong and ICICI Bank, Dharmasala (whom he identified them as Moirangthem Homen of New Checkon and Bony respectively) have failed to perform their duties and responsibilities in their respective banks.
The CEO further alleged that the Branch Managers have been intentionally and frequently blocking and delaying the money transactions between the company and its International clients through their banks.
The company has also furnished all the necessary documents required in money transactions, he added.
Terming the actions of the bank Branch Managers as unethical and intentional, Irabanta rued that such negligence and wrongful acts on the part of the Bank Managers have not only hampered the business affairs of Birla Emporiums Private Limited but has also affected the commitments of the company towards its International clients, apart from seriously affecting the reputation of the company among other International business colleagues.
Irabanta then drew the attention of the authorities concerned to take befitting actions against the Bank Managers for their negligence while seeking cooperation from the authorities concerned to ensure smooth flow of fund transfer of the company at the said banks.
Claiming that he used to face similar troubles when the company conducted transactions at many of the branches of Axis Bank and ICICI Bank (opened at various locations of Imphal), the CEO further said that he will take legal help if required.
