MLA clarifies

Khurai MLA L Susindro Meitei (Yaima) has clarified that he has no connection whatsoever with the rumour which claimed that police seized a Mahindra Scorpio vehicle (which was stolen from Assam) from his residence .
Speaking to media persons at his official residence at Lilashing Khongnangkhong today, the MLA said that the said vehicle has been in the custody of Imphal East SP since the month of April, this year, and the fact can be confirmed from the SP as well .
He said that according to information received from the SP concerned, the owner of the vehicle had come to claim the Scorpio twice but the process was delayed as the owner failed to bring proper documents .
Claiming that he has no relation whatsoever with the said vehicle, the MLA claimed that he has no knowledge regarding who bought the vehicle in Manipur as well .
Pointing out that the clarification of the SP concerned regarding the incident is not clear as well, the MLA said that it is critical for the SP to identify the individual who bought the vehicle which was stolen from Assam .
Claiming that Assam police did not approach him in any way regarding the incident, he demanded the media organisations which involved his name in the issue to clarify regarding the situation before December 20 or face legal action.
