Kayisii opens "School Fagathansi" programme at Tadubi

Senapati, August 18 2019:
Joining with the rest of the State, TA & Hills Minister N Kayisii opened the "School Fagathansi" programme at Mao Maram Government Higher Secondary School, Tadubi, Senapati district, which falls under 49- Tadubi AC.
The programme was also attended by Somorjit Salam, DC, Senapati as the guest of honour; A Kapani, Chairman, ADC, Senapati, SL Rangsong, ZEO, Senapati; Dr Loli Mao, CMO/Director, District Health Society, Senapati; Puni Ronald, SDO, Mao Maram Sub- Division; officials of the ZEO Department, Mao Council executives, Mao Students Union executives, Tadubi Village Authority Council and local women & youth leaders and workers of 49-Tadubi AC.
Education Minister Radheshyam had earlier stated the project was taken up by the State Government under "School Fagathansi" mission for bringing development in the education sector.
For the said mission, which is a pilot project of the State Govt and a holistic approach to reinforce the school by upgrading lab, furniture and addressing lack of teachers and so on, 60 schools from each Assembly Constituency had been selected in the first phase.
In this regard, the Minister said that the Govt has taken up the challenge to bring positive changes in the education sector.
Mention may be made that the Mao Maram Govt High School which was established in the year, 1950 is the oldest Govt Schools in Senapati district.
Unfortunately, the school has only 7 Government teachers.
Head Master of the school reported that students of the school mostly failed in the class X (Matric) examination in Science subject as the school does not have a Science teacher.
Giving his keynote address, SL Rangsong, ZEO, Senapati expressed hope that the mission would improve the working/functioning of the school.
Somorjit Salam, in his speech, lauded the State Govt for selecting 3 schools of the district under the mission to bring about substantive change in the education sector.
Minister Kayisii on the occasion stated that at one time there was no other Govt school in the District and students of different tribes come to Mao-Maram Govt High School for education.
The Minister then urged the students of the school to give their best effort in order to make the school famous.
Kayisii also expressed gratitude to the CM Biren led Government for taking up different developmental projects like "Go to Hills", "Go to Village" and "School Fagathansi" for the betterment and upliftment of the impoverished people.
Similar programmes were also followed by PHED Minister Losii Dikho at Paomata Govt High School that falls under 48-Mao A/C and LD Rainii, ADC member at Purul Hr Sec School.
