Relief items distributed to shelter camps

Many continue to extend relief items to the people who have been displaced by the recent outburst of communal conflicts in the State.
To help the people affected by the recent violence, Regional Indigenous Forum For Peaceful Co-Existence (RIFPCO), Manipur has provided monetary assistance to the relief camps opened at various areas under Moirang and Khundrakpam Assembly Constituencies.
In a release, RIFPCO informed that members of the forum visited the Konjengbam Leikai Community Hall Relief Camp, Moirang Okshongbung Thoibi Thang-Ta Cultural Association Relief Camp, Moirang Sribon Community Hall Relief Camp, Moirang Sendra Road Relief Camp, Thanga Karang Relief Camp, Tera Khongsangbi Relief Camp, Moirang Multipurpose Higher Secondary School Relief Camp, Khundrakpam Mayai Leikai Relief Camp, Bright Career Academy Relief Camp, Haraorou Community Hall Relief Camp, Tangkham Community Hall Relief Camp and Pourabi Yaifa Naharol Kanglup Relief Camp.
The Forum also shared that monetary aid was provided with the funds contributed by the Manipuris living in Hojai, Lanka, Jugijan and Apunba Nupi Khunnai, Hojai, Assam.
RIFPCO has also extended its appreciation to the individuals, groups, associations and Government for opening the relief camps to provide shelter to the people displaced by the recent civic disturbance.
RIFPCO further urged all the stakeholders, State Government and Opposition Parties to come together to restore peace & normalcy in Manipur.
Yengkhom Leirak Development Club has also distributed relief materials to the shelter camps opened at Kanto Sabal, Kanto Khullen and Sekmai Koujeng Leima.
Malemgi Apunba Meitei Laining Lup (MAMLL) and Dagarbond Development Committee, Hingta Dullabcherra, Karimganj District, Assam have also extended monetary aid to Ch Tulasing Junior High School in Awang Sekmai.
In a release, MAMLL informed that about 230 persons from Motbung, Kalapahar, Kangpokpi and nearby areas are taking shelter at the school after they were displaced by the sudden outbreak of communal conflict on May 3 .
The Imphal Public High Sec School (IPS), Canchipur, Imphal has also distributed text books, clipboards and other items to the children taking shelter at various relief camps.
