IPSA's 19th foundation day celebrated

Imphal, September 14 2017:
The 19th foundation day of International Peace and Social Advancement (IPSA), Kangleipak was celebrated at Khuman Lampak today .
In commemoration of the foundation day, a three-day residential youth leadership camp was inaugurated .
The function was attended by Education Minister Th Radheshyam as chief guest, president of UCM, Elangbam Johnson, president of Mao Union, Imphal, Sani Alexander Mao and president of IPSA, Kh Chingkhei Luwangcha .

Speaking at the function, Minister Radheshyam said that politics, economy and law and order are essential aspects of human life .
He asserted that it is necessary to conduct leadership programmes for the young generation to instil leadership qualities .
He further said that we live in a time where technology has become an inseparable part of our lives and therefore we should be guarded against its misuse .
The Minister observed that people need to be compassionate and considerate of others which is an important quality of a leader .
Only a compassionate person can be a good leader.
To be a good leader, one must understand one's role carefully, he noted .
Maintaining that IPSA has been playing an important role in various core issues pertaining to the State, he said that unwarranted problems escalate in the State because we do not face it collectively .
Peace would prevail in the State only after the problems are resolved.
Such problems should not affect the cordial relationship between the different communities, he said .
Exhorting the youth to learn from what the elders teach them during the leadership camp, the Minister called upon the people to promote and maintain peace and tranquility in the State.
