Imphal, November 13 2016:
BJP Manipur Pradesh ex-president and core committee member M Bhorot has stated that the people of Manipur may rise in revolt in case the UNC's indefinite economic blockade is not lifted at the earliest.
He was speaking at an election rally held at the Khongnang Pheidekpi residence of Ningombam Nillakumar who is preparing to contest the forthcoming Assembly election on a BJP ticket in Langthabal AC.
The incumbent Government only exposed its weakness when it did nothing to get the economic blockade rolled back even though all sections of people have been enduring extreme misery for the past many days, Bhorot said.
Since BJP came to power at the Centre, huge amount of money stashed in the homes of many Ministers and foreign banks have been brought to the country.
The Central Government has been able to check circulation of forged currency notes by terrorist organisations, Bhorot claimed.
He then appealed to the people of Langthabal AC to support whoever is given BJP ticket.
N Nillakumar after conveying gratitude to all the people who attended the rally said that he decided to fight the election as he was deeply concerned with the backwardness of Langthabal AC.
