Valedictory function held

The two-day National conference on 'Prospects and Challenges in Indigenous Foods and Drinks Sectors' concluded today at ATIC, College of Agriculture, Central Agricultural University, Iroisemba.
The two-day long conference was organised by the Association of Food Scientist and Technologists (AFST), India, Manipur Chapter in collaboration with Department of Commerce and Industries under National Mission on Food Processing, Government of Manipur and CAU.
The valedicory function was graced by Uripok A/C MLA, L Nandakumar, Professor M Premjit, VC, CAU, Professor H Tombi, former VC, Manipur University, Dhiraj Yumnam, former Director, Department of Commerce and Industries and Professor JM Laishram, Dean, College of Agriculture as chief guest, president and guests of honour respectively.
Young Scientist and Best Paper Awards were distributed to selected participants of the two-day conference during the function.
Experts and scientists from different parts of the country participated in the two-day conference which commenced from April 11 and concluded today.
