He exuded confidence that a common platform for indigenous people of the North East would be a reality sooner, the statement said.
He said it is a matter of grave concern for the people when indigenous people even is Assam are reduced to minority.
As such, forging unity among the indigenous people of the NE would be a way forward for protection of indigenous people and their land, it said .

He said Tripura is about to be overflowed now by outsiders particularly those coming from Bangladesh.
Once Tripura is overwhelmed, the State would become a gateway for influx of illegal migrants.
Then, other NE States would be helpless in stopping these illegal migrants from dominating the region .
As such, people of the region need to stand united against the influx of illegal migrants and extend mutual help in times of need.
On the occasion, a booklet titled 'Survival for the Sons of the Soil of Tripura' was also released by TPF, the release added.
