Councillor hails frontline workers

Considering the exemplary efforts of frontline workers including health, police, media personnel and CSO leaders of the district, ADC Sadar Hills Councillor, BP Vikas Basnet visited DC Kangpokpi, SP Kangpokpi and OC Kangpokpi today and donated rice in their respective COVID-19 Relief Funds.
BP Vikas Basnet had been helping many people during the pandemic COVID-19 lockdown 1.0 and lockdown 2.0 with essential commodities, PPE kits and rice in his Constituency, Irang Part-II and many other places across the district.
With the commencement of the Nationwide lockdown 3.0, the Councillor decided to motivate all the frontline workers of the district including DC, SP Kangpokpi, medical department, media personnel and the committed the local civil bodies of Kangpokpi DHQs who helped the frontline workers in an exemplary way.
BP Vikas Basnet visited the District Magistrate/DC office Kangpokpi and met the staff and employees of the District Administration in the presence of DM/DC Kangpokpi Lalithambigai Kalidas, this afternoon.
He handed over five bags of local rice to the District Magistrate/DC Kangpokpi as a relief fund towards DC Kangpokpi COVID-19 Relief Funds.
Later, the ADC Sadar Hills Councillor visited the office of SP Kangpokpi and met SP Kangpokpi Hemant Pandey and donated five bags of local rice as a mark of appreciation towards the commendable services of the District police in the fight against the pandemic COVID-19 disaster in the district.
The Councillor then visited Kangpokpi Police Station and met the Officer-in-Charge, Inspector Khogen in the presence of Addl SP (Ops), Lalminlen Misao.
He conveyed his heartfelt gratitude to the OC for his yeomen services towards the people during the COVID-19 crisis while providing 3 bags of local rice to the station.
He also provided a bag of local rice to the local senior journalist Kaybie Chongloi for his services toward the society during the pandemic.
