Medical camps across State on March 9

The Assam Rifles, in pursuit
of their role as the "Friends
of the North East" will
conduct medical camps in
their areas of deployment in
the North Eastern States on
March 9.
According to a statement
issued by the PRO of
IGAR (S), the medical
camps shall mark the run
up to the 181st Raising
Day celebrations of the
force.
IGAR (South) is the
largest formation of the
Force and shall be conduct-
ing medical camps at 24
locations across the State at
various major locations
including Mantripukhri in
Imphal East district;
Keithelmanbi in Imphal
West district; HQ 2 Assam
Rifles in Thoubal district;
Sendra and Kamong village
in Bishnupur district;
Maram and Jwalamukhi in
Senapati district; Noney and
Tamenglong HQ in
Tamenglong district;
Somsai, Keibi Khullen and
Meiti villages in Ukhrul
district; Chandel HQ, Pallel,
Sajik Tampak, Kakching,
Moreh, Joupi, Tengnoupal
and Sehlon in Chandel
district; Veng, Songdai and
Khoken in Churachandpur
district.
The camps are a major
initiative in the formation's
efforts to connect with
both its veterans as well
as the local populace, it
said.
The camps shall
provide free medical and
dental check ups, spot
treatments for minor
ailments as well as
specialist consultation.
