Bir Tikendrajit University opens rural campus at Emmanuel complex

A rural campus of Bir Tikendrajit University (BTU) was formally opened today at Emmanuel complex of Emmanuel English Academy (EEA) at Yaingangpokpi by Rajya Sabha MP, Leishemba Sanajaoba.
The opening ceremony of the rural campus was also graced by EEA Chairman, Dr S Mangi, MLA of Lamlai AC, Kh Ibomcha, Vice-chancellor of BTU, Dr AK Choudhary and land donor of EEA, Nepram Borni as the presidium members.
As a part of the programme, meritorious students of the school who have secured positions and scored high marks in the Class 12 examination conducted by Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (COHSEM) were feted and the patron members of the school, local representatives and other renowned persons were also honoured.
While speaking at the occasion, Kh Ibomcha asserted that education is a must in developmental process and appealed to the people to avail the benefits of the university and to work earnestly for its development.
Stating that the programs of the varsity will be of great help to the students of the nearby areas, Leishemba Sanajaoba underscored the importance of a good education system in striving for a self-reliant society.
