MLA inspects Ithei Loukhong

Patsoi Kendra MLA AK Mirabai, today, inspected the condition of Ithei Loukhong and the construction works of the water reservoir which is being constructed at Ghari Makha Leikai today.
The MLA inspected the condition of Ithei Loukhong in a bid to assess the condition leading to wastage of water during rainy season from the canals.
She also inspected Ghari river as it collects the water from Changangei, Tabungkhok, Heinoubok, Langjing, Sadokpam and Patsoi before pouring into Waishel Maril.
Speaking to the media persons, MLA AK Mirabai said that as per the data of Settlement Department, Ghari river is around 15 to 20 feet wide but the present condition of the river is deplorable.
Assuring that she will take up measures to save the river at the earliest, the MLA appealed to the farmers and people settled along the banks to offer cooperation.
On the other hand, expressing disappointment that the construction work of a water reservoir at Ghari Makha Leikai is going at a slow pace, the MLA urged the authorities and contractors concerned to expedite the construction works in the interest of the people.
