Awareness programme on COVID-19 continues

Kakching, November 04 2020:
Peoples' Task Force for Covid-19 (PTFC-19), Indian Red Cross Society, Manipur State Branch, Indian Medical Association(IMA) and Association For Health Care Providers of India (AHPI) continued organising awareness programme on COVID-19 pandemic at localities.
The programme at Kakching Naohallai Lampak was organised in collaboration with Kakching Khunai Chaokhathanba Lup, All Kakching Students Union and Joint Non-Government Volunteer Organisation, Kakching.
BK Moirangcha, convenor PTFC-19, Kengoo Zuringla, Deputy Commissioner Kakching, N Sanjitkumar, Chairperson, Kakching Municipal Council and M Angamba, Co-convenor attended the programme.
At the function, one of the resource persons said that formulating a policy to bring down the positivity and mortality rate of COVID-19 of the State is crucial.
Saying that increasing manpower and healthcare capacity will be efficient in fighting the pandemic, he continued that the Government and the authorities concerned should also work on identifying close and primary contact of people infected by novel coronavirus at the shortest possible time and test them for the disease to prevent further spreads.
He also urged all not to conceal COVID positive case(s) and sought support from the local clubs and COVID Task Force in fighting the contagious disease.
Wear a face mask, maintain physical distancing and wash hands with soap and sanitizer whenever possible, he added.
A similar programme was also held at Imphal College.
Students and people coming to the college were made to follow SOPs for COVID-19 .
