Mysterious i10 car involved in threatening Irabot's workers seized

Imphal, October 04 2011:
The mysterious i10 car which was allegedly used in various cases of threats to the workers of Minister Y Irabot has been apprehended by police last night.
An IRB personnel who was also closely related with the threatening act, however has managed to escape.
Addressing media persons at his residence, Minister Y Erabot said that some of his workers while returning from Wangkhei Angom Leikai, where they went to drop another worker of Minister Erabot, were blocked by three persons who came on a red i10 car.
A tussle ensued among the workers of Y Erabot and the three persons.
Finally two of those involved in the threatening act were caught.
The i10 car whose registration number is MN1X-1749 is being kept at Minister Erabot residence.
Foreign liquors was also been recovered from the car.
The two persons who were detained has been identified as Yumlembam Chandrakumar @ Momo of Wangkhei Yambem Leikai presently staying at Khurai Ahongei and Lapin Namoijam of Wangkhei Keithel Ashangbi.
The other person who escaped from the scene has been identified as one Boby Sharma of Thambalkhong.
He is a Jamadar in the 4th IRB and is presently posted at Kakching PS, attached as CDO.
It has also been known that Boby has been involved in the act, where he had even used his service gun in civil dress.
Speaking to reporters, the two detained persons said that they were returning from kakching where they met Boby at Kakching Lamkhai.
They had some drinks and proceeded for Imphal.
They never had the knowledge that Boby had his service
gun.
It was only when the quarrel at Wankhei occurred and he brought out the gun that they and that's when they came to know that he has brought the gun with him.
Since they were totally drunk they could not remember what they had said and had done last night.
Minister Irabot further charged the security personnel for beating up every passerby on the road last where the incident had occurred.
All these instances clearly show that the Home Department has completely failed in all aspects.
He further went on to say that such cases have been occurring a number of times.
There has also been a case where a life attempt on his son was also made.
The person involved was handed to the police along with the gun.
But no action has been taken up by the government so far.
The apprehended i10 car along with the two persons and the foreign liquors were later handed over to the Porampat PS.
