Look after people in containment areas, ex-MLA appeals

Former MLA of Naoriya Pankhanglakpa Assembly Constituency, RK Anand has appealed to all concerned to help in looking after the COVID-19 affected areas of the Assembly segment.
The former MLA made the appeal during a relief item handover programme for distribution to households in containment areas.
The former MLA of the Assembly segment which assembly seat is lying vacant, appealed the Chief Minister and authorities concerned to provide all sort of assistance to contain the spread of the disease in the area and help reach the PDS items to the beneficiaries in the containment zone areas.
Relief items consisting of edibles such as rice, dal, salt, salt, onion and potatoes were handed over by the former MLA and Naoriya Pakhanglakpa Co-ordinating Committee to the volunteers of Social Union Nascent Club, Mongshangei and Social Welfare Youth Club for distribution to the household under containment zones in Mongshangei areas.
Speaking on the sideline of the event, the former MLA stated that 5 areas of Mongshangei have been announced containment zones and it has been learnt that Kodompokpi has been considered as the hotspot.
While appealing all follow SOP strictly, the former MLA also urged the CM and authorities concerned to look into the anomalies reported in connection with distribution of relief items in many areas of the Assembly segment and do the needful.
